Mariam Abdou is a Delaware-based tattoo artist and illustrator. A self taught artist, Mariam started her tattoo journey in 2018 under the pseudonym bitteregyptian, a homage to her stubborn sun sign ♉︎ and her home country, Egypt.
After working in a traditional tattoo studio setting for a few years, Mariam opened Monday Mourning Tattoo, a private studio dedicated to creating weird-girl tattoos inspired by her lifetime love for oddities, folklore, nature, fauna, and all things a little magical.
